October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, which is an annual campaign to increase awareness of the disease. While most people are aware of breast cancer& support the “Think pink cause” Breast cancer is an uncontrolled growth of breast cells. To better understand breast cancer, it helps to understand how any cancer can develop.There is shyness in Pakistan on talking about cancers, like breast, Ovarian and testicular cancerwell celebrities can play a vital role in this regard by bringing that dialogue in to the open. A lot of celebrities are playing their role in promoting this good cause. Females stick Pink ribbon on shirts for the support of breast cancer awareness & internationally men have also started sticking ribbon in the support but that’s blue in colour.
Good news about breast cancer is, since 1990, a gradual reduction in female breast cancer is observed.Incidence among women aged 50 and older, have been observed. Death rates from breast cancer have been declining since about 1990, in part to better due to screening and early detection, increased awareness, and continually improving treatment options.
The Breast Cancer Myths
Men do not get breast cancer; it affects women only. Breast cancer in men is usually detected as a hard lump underneath the nipple and areola. Men carry a higher mortality than women do, primarily because awareness among men is less and they are less likely to assume a lump is breast cancer, which can cause a delay in seeking treatment.
A mammogram or x-ray can cause breast cancer to spread. Mammograms require very small doses of radiation. The risk of harm from this radiation exposure is extremely low.”
If you have a family history of breast cancer, you are likely to develop breast cancer, too. While women who have a family history of breast cancer are in a higher risk group, most women who have breast cancer have no family history. Statistically only about 10% of individuals diagnosed with breast cancer have a family history of this disease.
Breast cancer is contagious. However, you can reduce your risk by practicing a healthy lifestyle, being aware of the risk factors, and following an early detection plan so that you will be diagnosed early if breast cancer were to occur.
Preventions:
There is no sure way to prevent breast cancer. But there are things all women can do that might reduce their risk and help increase the odds that if cancer does occur, it will be found at an early, more treatable stage.
Abortion increases the rates of breast cancer.Wearing too much of tight “Bra” can hurt lymph nodes & wearing rod bra in the night even can hurt lymph nodes which is hazardous, take-off your bra when you sleep & use your size bra not smaller/tighter. Breast enlargement surgery’s & breast fermentation creams are “Cancerous” Intake of Coffee, regular walk & balance diet reduces the rate of breast cancer. If one doesn’t like coffee he must have it at least in winters. Body weight, physical activity, and diet have all been linked to breast cancer, so these might be areas where you can take action. Many studies have shown that moderate to vigorous physical activity is linked with lower breast cancer risk. Both increased body weight and weight gain as an adult are linked with a higher risk of breast cancer after menopause (The moment a women stops having her menstruation age can vary women to women). Alcohol also increases risk of breast cancer. Even low levels of alcohol intake have been linked with an increase in risk. A diet that is rich in vegetables, fruit, poultry, fish, and low-fat dairy products has also been linked with a lower risk of breast cancer in some studies. But it is not clear if specific vegetables, fruits, or other foods can lower risk. Most studies have not found that lowering fat intake has much of an effect on breast cancer risk.Alcohol is strictly bad & can increase chances of CHEMO, that’s what Alcohol is strictly prohibited in “ISLAM” Deodorants are not while antiperspirants are Cancerous.

- Inspect both breasts with your arms at your sides.
- Raise your arms slowly, pay close attention to any swelling, or change in breasts or nipples.
- Place hands on your hips, flex your chest muscles & again visually compare breasts.
