Studio Seven brings architecture, a unique fusion of contemporary and Islamic abstractions to Karachi.
Studio Seven, an architecture, art and design house with a firm presence in Dubai, opened its doors in Pakistan for the first time with the launch of its Studio in Karachi on September 2, 2016. Indeed! Studio Seven is a one stop shop, where you can find all related to interior décor.
Studio Seven opened its doors with the unveiling of its exquisite furniture and design collection, along with an inaugural art exhibition titled “Ibtidaa”, conceptualised by Abdul Jabbar Gull, renowned artist, sculptor and Director Studio Seven Art Gallery. The exhibition showcased works of 50 young artists who graduated in the last five years from various art institutes of Pakistan. These prodigious artists were recommended by 10 eminent artists of Pakistan, like Imran Qureshi, R.M. Naeem, Muhammad Zeeshan and Meher Afroz among others.
The success of Studio Seven is attributed to a shared passion of two individuals – Rais Chohan and Muhammad Bashir Khamisa – belonging to different fields, who are both founding directors of Studio Seven. They emphasized: “Our vision and mission has made Studio Seven Gallery a success story in Dubai with its innovative design and architecture practices. What we design says something about us to future generations, which is why even after years it continues to be a source of inspiration.” Keeping this in mind, they said that their firm is eager to make its mark in Karachi the same way by providing spectacular, indelible services to its Pakistani clientele with their multi-talented team performing at the highest level of their individual and collective capabilities.
The event was well attended by journalists, bloggers and other media persons. Guests like Sarwat Gillani, Nadia Hussain and Hira Hussain were treated to an evening of elegant interior décor pieces and eye-catching pieces of artwork created by the 50 young artists of “Ibtidaa.”
